Key Responsibilities:

Research & Analysis:

- Handle complex tax issues involving recent developments like BEPS, GAAR, indirect transfers, and AMP adjustments.

- Assist in researching and analyzing all aspects of tax assignments, collaborating with the team to develop optimal solutions.

- Conduct in-depth reviews of client documents and tax forms to ensure accuracy and completeness.

- Support senior team members with data collection and analysis for base reports.

Client Service & Communication:

- Build strong client relationships by actively listening to understand their needs and business objectives.

- Assist in drafting clear and concise memos, reports, and presentations for client communication.

- Participate in client meetings and effectively communicate complex tax concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

Tax Litigation & Dispute Resolution:

- Assist Partners and Principals in preparing cases for tax disputes before CIT(A)/ITAT.

- Draft submissions for review and appeals, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

Tax Compliance & Project Management:

- Assist with tax audits and transfer pricing engagements, including both compliance and advisory aspects.

- Coordinate with clients to obtain necessary documents and maintain efficient project timelines.

- Proactively update clients on project developments and ensure clear communication throughout the engagement.

Process Improvement & Knowledge Management:

- Develop and maintain data controls for research papers, ensuring efficient knowledge management practices.

- Participate in hygiene checks to identify and correct any data inconsistencies.

Key Requirements:

- Bachelor'/masters degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or Law (CA/CS/CMA preferred).

- 5+ years of experience in direct tax and/or transfer pricing (relevant internship experience can be considered).

- Strong analytical and research skills with a keen eye for detail.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Commitment to professional development and a desire to learn from experienced professionals
