Associate/Sr Associate - Corporate Legal Advisory

IMPORTANT NOTE: ONLY LOOKING AT PASS OUTS FROM TIER 1 LAW SCHOOL OR EXPOSURE WITH TIER 1 LAW FIRMS. ANY OTHER CANDIDATURES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

ASSOCIATE/SR ASSOCIATE - Corporate Legal

Qualifications and experience:

1. A three/five year law degree from a reputed university with a good academic record

2. 1-3 year's experience in the corporate practice of a well reputed firm( one job preferable)

3. The following will be desirable/added advantage

a. Overseas Masters degree in US or UK

Knowledge areas

1. Working knowledge of some of the following: company law, FEMA, FDI, SEBI and RBI regulations, Competition law and policy, constitution, Contract Act

2. A basic level of understanding of at least one area of corporate practice

3. Worked as team member (associate) in medium sized transactions on joint ventures, M&A, private equity, restructuring, agreements if not a fresher.

4. Able to understand a brief for opinion and provide the research for the same.

5. Able to work in assigned areas of a due diligence report and understanding of the priority areas for review one.

6. Up to date knowledge of current case law and changing regulations

Other skills

1. Excellent oral and written communication skills

2. Analytical ability- able to analyse laws and apply the same for practical use

3. Good turnaround time, detailed oriented

4. High level of integrity, honesty and commitment to work ethics
