Associate/Senior Associate - Market Research & Analytics - Consulting Firm
Key Responsibilities :
- Job responsibilities mainly include activities driven towards delivering results through supporting global engagements from India - conduct analyses and develop insights through presentations, prepare excel models, analyse large sets of data, lead workstreams and teams, support project lead, work directly with project teams and facilitate meetings to enable decision making, organize and prepare recommendations to address client problems, and participate actively in new business development, thought leadership and firm building activities.
Knowledge Preferred :
- Candidates should demonstrate substantial experience and / or knowledge in any industry sector (Technology, Media, Telecom, Industrial Products, Oil & Gas, Energy, Utilities, Automotive, Pharmaceuticals, Health Industries, Consumer Goods, Retail, Hospitality, Private Equity) and in any of the following areas:
Commercial Analysis :
- Market Assessment: Experience in market assessment, market sizing and analysis, customer analysis, trend analysis, channel analysis, product analysis, business case development, SWOT analysis
- Competitor Assessment: Competitor landscape assessment, competitor market performance and strategies, products and offerings analysis
- Research Analysis: Ability to synthesize complex information and generate detailed insights based on primary and secondary research information, with a demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Financial Modelling: P&L Forecasting, EBIDTA analysis, working capital analysis, gross margin impact analysis, develop cost models, revenue models, benchmarking
- Strategy Development and Business Planning: Current state and gap analysis, future state strategy development, value proposition creation, go to market strategy development
Operational Analysis :
- Operating Model Assessment: Business process assessment (e.g. Record to Report (R2R), Quote to Cash (Q2C), Hire to Retire (H2R), Forecast to Delivery, etc.), location strategy development, channel strategy development,
- IT system strategy development, front and back office design, COGS and SG&A cost structure assessment
- Organization Assessment: Organization structure design / analysis, spans & layers, headcount cost analysis, shared services design, offshoring analysis, digital transformation / automation, employee productivity analysis
- Supply Chain Assessment: Supply chain direct and indirect cost benchmarking, Sales / inventory & operations planning, sourcing strategy development, supply chain network design, manufacturing strategy assessment, make-buy analysis, manufacturing process assessment, logistics & distribution strategy development, warehouse assessment, capital asset management, service operations assessment, digital operations (Industry 4.0 / IIoT related) assessment
- Product Portfolio Assessment: Product, platform, portfolio strategy development, R&D process efficiency assessment, product lifecycle assessment, product cost / complexity reduction, R&D location assessment
Skills Preferred :
- Experience in working with or leading consulting teams in projects autonomously with minimal direction
- Delivering significant business results that utilize strategic and creative thinking, problem solving, and taking individual initiative
- Ability to synthesize complex information and generate meaningful insights based on analysis of clients data and information from primary and secondary research
- Ability to marry quantitative and qualitative analysis into meaningful storyboards and insights Excellent problem solving, project management, facilitation and interpersonal skills, ability to build meaningful and collaborative relationships with team members Experience with analysis and modeling using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft
- Visio, Visual Basic, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, UI Path or other similar tools Experience in working with databases such as Capital IQ, Avention, Factiva, World Bank, etc.
- Basic understanding of project management techniques and tools Ability to support business and practice development efforts (e.g. proposals, thought leadership, case studies, work plans and internal team metric trackers)
