Job Opportunity: Associate/Senior Associate Infrastructure Analyst

Location: Mumbai

Experience Required: 7-10 Years

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) - 1st Attempt / MBA from a Top-Tier Institution

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chartered Accountant or MBA graduate with 7-10 years of experience in the infrastructure sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, investment evaluation, and transaction execution, particularly within the infrastructure industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Targeting and Evaluating New Investment Opportunities:

- Conduct in-depth market research and identify potential investment opportunities in the infrastructure sector.

- Analyze industry trends, competitive landscapes, and macroeconomic factors to assess the viability of potential investments.

Financial Modeling:

- Build and maintain complex and dynamic financial models to project the financial performance of investment opportunities.

- Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate the impact of various factors on the investment's returns.

Due Diligence and Valuation Analysis:

- Lead the due diligence process for potential investments, including financial, legal, and operational assessments.

- Conduct thorough valuation analysis using various methodologies (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions) to determine the fair value of target assets or companies.

Transaction Structuring:

- Assist in structuring transactions, including negotiating terms and conditions to optimize investment outcomes.

- Collaborate with legal and financial advisors to ensure that all aspects of the transaction are appropriately managed.

Preparation of Investment Memos:

- Draft detailed investment memos for presentation to the Investment Committee, outlining the investment rationale, financial analysis, risks, and potential returns.

- Ensure that investment memos are comprehensive, well-supported, and aligned with the company's investment strategy.

Transaction Documentation and Execution:

- Oversee the preparation and review of transaction documentation, including term sheets, shareholder agreements, and other legal documents.

- Manage the execution process, coordinating with internal teams, external advisors, and counterparties to ensure timely and successful completion of transactions.

Post-Investment Monitoring:

- Monitor the performance of investments post-transaction, tracking financial and operational metrics.

- Provide regular updates to the Investment Committee and senior management on the status and performance of investments.

- Identify and address any potential issues or challenges that may arise during the investment lifecycle.

Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) - 1st Attempt or MBA from a Top-Tier Institution.

- 7-10 years of relevant experience in the infrastructure sector, with a focus on investment analysis, financial modeling, and transaction execution.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed investment decisions.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to senior management and investment committees.

- Experience in working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders in high-pressure environments.

- Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.

- In-depth knowledge of the infrastructure sector, including regulatory environments, market trends, and key industry players.
