ARM will be responsible for co-origination, structuring, getting approvals and ongoing monitoring of all Credit products for wholesale banking clients . ARM will work on origination, structuring the term sheets and obtaining sanctioning authority approvals for Credit Products. The role will also be the first line of defence to provide an agile and dynamic response through the current economic cycle to RBL's credit exposures and co own the revenue responsibility on Credit Products . Overall objective will be to anticipate the developments in the economic arena/various sectors and therefore their impact on the portfolio and proactively put in place and execute effective Business development and exposure management strategies. The position will be responsible for conducting initial credit assessments, credit reviews, credit approval, client engagement and monitoring the portfolio to identify business opportunities, credit migration & effectively manage client P&L in coordination with the Coverage team. The overall objective of this role is to manage RBL's portfolio exposure to clients and co -own P&L goals with Coverage and other Product teams.
Responsibilities:
- Work to identify credit opportunities in wholesale clients of turnover upto Rs 1500 cr.
- Conduct risk assessments and client credit analyses, review financial results and peer analyses and prepare financial projections
- Prepare In Principle Assessments and transaction approval memos
- Escalate credit concerns/updates and propose risk mitigation action to be taken by staying continuously informed of related developments/news for the portfolio and industry covered and understanding the credit process, policies and RBL's risk appetite.
- Active interface with the clients with an intention to closely and dynamically manage the portfolio.
- Assist with portfolio review preparation and conducting stress tests
- Build working relationships with external clients and also various teams across the bank, including deal, coverage and product teams
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding RBL Bank, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 1-5 years of experience in credit risk analysis or corporate banking or Credit Rating agencies (Analytical Side) or NBFIs
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Experience in financial analysis, accounting, and valuation
- Knowledge of accounting and corporate finance, financial modeling, credit and banking products, credit analytics, risk assessment, and transaction execution
- Demonstrated accountability, self-motivation and business acumen
Education: MBA from reputed institutes/ Chartered Accountants / ICWA / CFA
