Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Associate Project Managers. The position requires strong technical and communication skills.

Your key result areas as percentage of your overall work items will be:

Requirement Analysis and Functional Review (~30%)

- Develop functional specifications for projects for product teams of Microsoft

- Prepare customer artifacts including project documentation

- Conduct requirement reviews with team to get clarity on requirements

Project Management (~30%)

- Understand, plan and manage the cross-team interdependencies for complex projects

- Own and ensure end to end delivery of projects within defined timelines

- Planning, Capacity Utilization, Estimation and Reporting

- Meet client expectations on schedule and quality of delivery, timely reviews

- Resolve issues quickly and prudently throughout development, testing, and launch phases

- Ensure compliance to enterprise methodologies, standards and procedures

Provide pre sales support (~10%)

- Produce responses to Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals

- Coordinate with technical leads to understand client requirement and build a suitable solutions to cater to it

- Develop Industry specific and technical whitepapers

- Prepare presentations for sales and corporate meetings

- Develop case studies on successful projects

- Conduction competitor analysis

Business Process Improvement (~15%)

- Innovate and Improve company process model

- Make recommendations to the client for enhancements to the software development methodology to incorporate project management principles

Company initiatives and Training (~15%)

- Help grow the company by owning or supporting initiatives such as developing new competencies and program managing company initiatives

- Share knowledge with more junior team members via a formal mentoring relationship, reviewing code, reviewing design docs, giving technical talks, teaching classes or as a consultant on projects

- Interface with internal groups, partners and employees for cross training

- Contribute to company initiatives on training

Desired Skills & Experience

- Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology from a leading university

- MBA from one of the following business schools: IIMs, ISB, MDI, IMT, FMS, NITIE, XLRI, S.P. Jain

- Previous work experience in and IT or ITeS firm will be an added advantage

- Highly motivated, multitasking skills and a positive team player

- Strong customer interaction skills with exposure to international clients

- Must possess strong Process definition and implementation skills

- Excellent communication and people skills - able to communicate to diverse audiences with confidence, clarity and focus

- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

- Consistent track record of progressive responsibility

- Strong technical background in Microsoft platform with the ability to develop specifications and work with project team

Experience: 2 - 6 years or more
