Associate Manager - SCM consulting/ Operations Management Consulting ( Corporate Finance Strategy-)

- Associate Managers with expertise in strategy consulting to join the leadership group of our Corporate Finance Strategy Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.

- As part of our Corporate Finance Strategy team, you will help client's solution and develop their strategies around Operations Management and/ or Supply Chain problems and evaluate potential transactions.

- Working with our proprietary Capital Agenda framework, you will help clients determine the best way to raise, invest, optimize and preserve their capital

- This includes developing growth and market entry strategies, conducting strategic portfolio reviews and undertaking commercial due diligence studies. The client base spans all industry sectors and includes blue chip corporates, multinational investors and Private Equity firms.

In your role as an Associate Manager you will :

- Use an issue based approach to deliver SCM Consulting for corporates

- Lead teams undertaking commercial due diligence studies for financial investors

- Support business development activities through both leading specific pursuits and developing long-standing advisory relationships with senior clients

- Participate actively in the building of an industry segment practice across EY service lines

- Contribute to the development of intellectual capital in service line and industry practices

We- re looking for people with functional expertise in the following areas :

- Portfolio reviews

- Operational improvements

- Commercial due diligence

- Post-merger integration

- Carve-out / Divestment

- Candidates will be self-motivated and organised with strong communication, presentation and team building skills and experience in producing high caliber reports, papers, and presentations.

- Your ability to adapt to a constantly changing and growing business environment will greatly assist with your success in this role. A strong track record in management consulting from a top tier firm will be highly regarded.

Job requirements :

To qualify, candidates must have :

MBA degree from a premiere institute with 5 + years of experience

Desired Competencies/ skills :

- Operations Management experience

- Experience with companies in industrial/ consumer/high tech products, utilities, logistics, telecoms and/or energy.

- Functional experience will include manufacturing, service provision, supply chain, R&D, corporate affairs, sales and 'back office'.

- Professional services 'advisory' experience - either from within a management consultancy, corporate finance advisory firm or as an 'internal consultant' within a corporate.

- Deal exposure or experience of the transaction environment - either from within an advisory firm or an internal corporate development team/ Big 4s or Management Consultancy firms

Responsibilities :

- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of integrations, carve-outs, operational due diligence and other types of transaction engagements.

- Demonstrate skills in project execution, including synergy assessment, project management, problem-solving and facilitation.

- Assist in identifying risks and issues related to integration planning, timelines, and functional areas.

- Be responsible for work products that document engagement procedures performed vs. objectives

- Maintain relationships with client and firm's practice personnel at appropriate levels

- Measure, monitor and improve client service by guiding team members and driving excellence in service delivery

- Participate in goal setting, performance appraisal and management of counselees

Requirements :

- Combination of Industry and Consulting experience is preferred.

- Experience in re-engineering, turnarounds or business integrations, such as synergy evaluation, project management office organization, operating model development, or sales force, finance, HR and supply chain with a demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.

- Demonstrate strong transaction knowledge in a particular industry (e.g., life sciences, Retail & consumer product goods, industrial products, technology, etc.)

- Ability to determine risks and opportunity areas.

- Ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas.

- Excellent problem solving, project management, facilitation and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent team player.

- Flexible with travel requirements of client service projects.
