We are currently looking for an Associate Manager-Market Research for the topmost FMCG Conglomerate in India. The position is to be based in Kolkata.

JOB PROFILE : AM-Market Research

FUNCTION : Marketing

REPORT TO : Manager-Market Research

LOCATION : Head Office, Kolkata

QUALIFICATION:

Post-graduate in Business Management from a respected B-School (With specialization in Marketing/related field)

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

- Transform business inquiries into clear and actionable research objectives.

- Ensure BIC execution of studies through diligent oversight of research agency activities.

- Analyse research outcomes to effectively address business questions.

- Examine tracking data to provide strategic guidance on opportunities and threats.

- Monitor tracking study designs and propose enhancements as needed.

- Collaborate with brand teams to identify unresolved questions and utilize diverse data sources to deliver comprehensive insights.

ROLE PROFILE

- Provide support in understanding tobacco consumers and aiding Marketing Team decisions based on consumer preferences through effective research processes.

- Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development, and Packaging teams to identify business opportunities and issues.

- Assist in preparing clear briefs that define problems and target the right audience.

- Work with research agencies to execute projects, ensuring proposals meet brief requirements.

- Oversee all research stages, from brief and proposal finalization to fieldwork and findings presentation.

- Ensure agency adherence to Service Level Agreements and suggest report improvements for better focus.

- Summarize agency reports into precise, actionable insights for the Marketing Team.

WORK EXPERIENCE AND RELEVANT INDUSTRY:

- Experience of less than 1 year in either brands or market research.

- Experience in the FMCG space will be preferred.

- Experience in the Insights team of a client-side company will be preferred.
