Job Purpose :

- Investment Banking team is engaged in offering Equity Capital Markets as well as M&A and PE advisory to the corporate clients

- The sector teams are responsible for client coverage, business development as well as end to end execution of the transaction in association with the product teams

Key Responsibilities :

Managerial Responsibilities-

- Ensuring induction and initial training of new joinees in the team

- Updating team's knowledge on new regulations and new aspects of the sector

Functional Responsibilities-

- Providing support in business development activities including contacting clients, setting up meetings, preparing pitch books

- Conducting preliminary valuation exercise using various techniques including trading comparables, transaction comparables, free cash flow analysis, etc.

- Responsible for engaging in deal execution including due diligence, preparing deal collaterals, interacting with various parties involved in the deal during the process, etc.

- Maintain the internal database of company profiles, trading and transaction comparables

- Research on the industry landscape and regulatory changes

- Ideate new business opportunities for the clients

- Preparing industry thought pieces on various trends and aspects impacting the industry

Competencies :

- Proficiency in various industry databases including Bloomberg, FactSet, CapitaLine, Mergermarket, VCCEdge, etc.

- Strong fundamental understanding of financial statements and valuation techniques

- Strong quantitative acumen

- Knowledge about the domestic and international stock markets as well as economies

Internal :

Compliance team - Interaction related to various deal related aspects as well as regulatory discussions

Other Business Vertical - Interaction with other teams within the company in order to explore cross selling opportunities as well as to understand their businesses in order to understand the industry

External :

Clients - Business development as well as deal related interactions with the clients

Other intermediaries engaged in the deal execution - Discussions with other intermediaries including other banks, legal counsels, registrar, marketing firms, commercial banks, stock exchange, regulators, etc.
