ExperienceRange Required:

- 7-9 yrs in supply chain with a min of 3-5 years in planning with exposure to warehouse functioning. Knowledge of SAP preferred

Academic Background :

- Min Graduate in any stream. If postgraduate, preference for specialization in operations.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

This position is accountable for:-

1. Managing warehouse at the plant; ensuring compliance and tracking inventory and identifying and disposal of redundant inventory .

NATURE AND SCOPE

- The role is responsible for the warehouses for the Mansear plant. The warehouses are well networked with SAP. Information upload and sharing (even across functions like planning) are via SAP.

- The tracking and record keeping of imported RM is manual as SAP is not integrated in this area. The key challenge for the position stems from space constraints given the high growth, increased number of SKUs and increased production & distribution requirements of the business.

- Management of space using effective storage and product movement strategies is a central challenge to the position in addition to management of gate traffic and liaising with planning/ technical to address issues of stock demand. The position highlights upcoming stock spoilage and redundancy.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Monitor and control inventory movement to and from warehouses

- Ensure inventory unloading and loading as per plan and norms

- Coordinate with quality to ensure incoming inventory is as per agreed quality levels

- Ensure all compliances and adherence to related norms pertaining to inventory stocking

- Ensure optimal use of space

- Identity redundant stock. Undertake disposal of stock by identifying and managing buyers.

- Ensure coordinate with identified transporters to ferry goods. Highlight issues and concerns to manager logistics

- Identify warehouse partners in case of 3rd party warehouse requirement

- Aid in 3rd party vendor selection, contracting

- Manage 3rd party vendor to ensure compliance and adherence to schedule

- Address/sort all warehouse related issues

- Escalate unsolved issues to reporting manager.

- Review MIS Reporting for own functional area

- Ensure that SAP is updated as per schedule

- Prepare and recommend area wise budget for warehouse management

- Track budget against actual

- Identify /source talent for band 5 hiring

- Conduct 1st round screening of talent for band 5

- Participate in the hiring decision pertaining to band 5

- Participate in the appraisal process of all direct reports
