Associate - Indirect Taxation - Law Firm

Associate 2 level in a Law firm IDT - Gurgaon

Qualification - Lawyer or a Chartered Accountant

About the team:

- Team advises a range of clients across sectors, on various issues under different indirect tax laws including GST, Customs, SEZ Act and erstwhile indirect tax laws including VAT, Service Tax and Excise. Team also works on various litigation matters under indirect tax laws, and represents clients across various forums, including Tribunals, High Courts and Supreme Court.

- As part of its services, the team also works on various tax structuring / restructuring exercises, on transactions.

Role :

1. Good understanding of indirect tax laws and practice experience of working on indirect tax advisory engagements

2. Experience in Indirect tax advisory and / or litigation.

3. Candidate will be expected to handle both advisory as well as litigation work, which will include drafting of legal opinions on indirect tax issues & drafting of reply to show cause notices, appeals & writ petitions.
