Group Strategy supports senior management in formulating, executing and communicating the strategy of the bank. The Infrastructure Strategy group within is responsible to drive the group-wide infrastructure priorities and to lead the Target Operating Model design for the Group.
- In addition, Infrastructure Strategy monitors the performance of the infrastructure units via a regular performance dialogue and infrastructure benchmarking.
Role Responsibilities:
- As part of annual strategic planning processes, drive operating model and KPI framework reviews
- Monitoring of performance across functions / benchmark against peers as key competencies
- Establish go-to source for infrastructure KPIs and benchmarking
- Develop detailed expert knowledge on individual infrastructure KPIs and competitor benchmarking
- Build continuous relationships with business / infrastructure counterparts to efficiently manage regular data collection process
- Set up and management of effective link to other benchmarking efforts within (i.e. strategic benchmarking) to reap economies of scope in data collection, analysis and interpretation
- Establish stable relationship into strategic planning process and operational excellence program
In addition to the above, the individual should contribute in the overall team's workflow ensuring that deliverables are completed accurately and on a timely basis
- Be able to learn content quickly although investment banking experience is not a pre-requisite, the role involves researching and analyzing new topics on a regular basis
- Be creative in applying knowledge and skills to research and analytics should be able to take an issue and think around potential solutions and drive these to a conclusion
- Look to take charge of automating functions within Strategy Mumbai to further enhance effectiveness
Person Specification:
- 3-5 years of experience; CA / MBA degree (preferably in business)
- Knowledge of global banking industry and experience with infrastructure KPI monitoring and benchmarking would be an added advantage
- Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, service commitment & interpersonal skills
- Experience in performance analytics, ideally within the financial services sector
- Be creative in applying knowledge and skills to research and analytics, should be able to take an issue and think around potential solutions and drive these to a conclusion
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, prioritizes multiple tasks, and meets strict deadlines
- Excellent Excel skills. Knowledge of other Microsoft office applications (MS-Word, Power point) and Acrobat
