Overview:
The Associate Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the financial planning and analysis functions of the organization.
They are responsible for providing valuable insights and contributing to the company's financial strategies and decision-making processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports and communicate insights to the management team.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify key drivers of performance.
- Support budgeting and strategic planning processes.
- Assist in the evaluation of investment opportunities and business performance.
- Participate in the development of financial processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to gather financial data and support decision-making.
- Contribute to ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial and operational performance.
- Assist in the improvement of financial systems and processes.
- Participate in financial audits.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Assist with financial presentations and communications.
- Participate in financial and operational planning.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis or related role.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to interpret and present complex financial data effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
- Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of financial reporting standards and best practices.
- Experience with financial systems and software.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- Professional certification such as CFA or CPA (preferred).
