Key Accountabilities :
- The Finance Organization provides a comprehensive suite of services to its internal customers including Financial Analysis and Reporting; Budgeting and Forecasting; Compliance (payroll, time and expense,accounts payable/receivable);
- Timely, accurate, and complete financial information in support of the company while controlling costs and providing revenue enhancing opportunities;
- This organization is comprised of several units, each focused on helping Line of Service Leaders, Market Leaders, Sector Leaders, and their partners and managers deliver the Unique Client Experience to our clients.
- From reporting to engagement support to Shared Service functions -- everything we do is focused on our current and prospective clients and is of the highest quality;
- (BU) Finance is responsible for executing budgeting and forecasts at the market/region/BU level. Responsible for asset management; Oversees engagement economics for individual partners, clients, markets, BU, and region. Manages portfolio for specific partners, markets, clients, BU, and region.
- (BU) Finance is responsible for the implementation of the global business system in the BU by analyzing the financial and risk impact to the current business and collaborating the other BU leaders/teams.
- (BU) Finance will be engaged in the business project by providing the financial and tax analysis and Recommending the efficient solution to the BU leaders from the financial perspective.
- (BU) Finance will be responsible to provide the accountable tax consulting to the BU and initiate the activity to control the tax risk because of the business scenario or the tax regulation change. financial accounting &Reporting
- Provide leadership in managing the entire accounting functions for Bangalore Operations ensuring accuracy, and completeness of accounting entries
- Provide leadership in the closure of month end, quarter end and year-end accounting and lead through audits.
- Best Practices in terms of accounting policies, reporting, disclosures requirements, accounting methods.
Compliance :
- Ensure compliance with respect to various laws governing the operations of Bangalore entity including, but not limited to:
- All applicable national and regional tax law.
- Expert knowledge of transfer pricing regulations and ability to develop and maintain documentation to support transfer pricing margins.
- Strong knowledge about SEZ is desirable.
- Understanding of Double Taxation Agreements is desirable.
Accounts Payable/Account Receivable Functions :
- Provide controllership on all the activities of accounts payable/accounts receivable functions for Bangalore Operations.This involves controlling, and reviewing mechanisms.
- Best practices on vendor managements.
- Develop and maintain good working relationship with bankers.
Audit Management :
- Provide leadership in the audit of Bangalore accounts and ensure that accounts are audited and signed within first two months following closure of books.
- Co-ordinate internal audits and assists management in review of internal audit reports.
- Assist management in review of statutory accounts.
- Best practices on audit management and governance standards around audits and reporting.
Payroll Management :
- Provide controllership on all payroll related activities including review of existing payroll processing arrangements, value-added activities to employees like tax workshop et, flexi benefits planning, review of existing payroll structure to minimize tax implications on employees, best practices in payroll management.
Financial Planning and Analysis(FPA) :
- Develop/assist in preparing yearly annual budgets(Operating and Capex).
- Review on periodic basis financial performance and provide forecast for the year. Strategic Partnership
- Assist US team in decision- making process involving financial /regulatory implications or otherwise.
- Develop strong business relationship with the various US teams to obtain insights into regulatory/accounting needs of LLP and implement the same locally.
- Share/educate US team the local laws affecting the business and act accordingly. Internal control, business control, documentation etc.
- Design and implement strong business & process controls.
- Review and implement Internal financial controls.
- Develop and implement strategies for knowledge management for the team in terms of process maps, process documentation, process manuals, training manuals etc.
Company Law Compliance :
- Ensure compliance of Board meetings.
- Conducting Board/AGM meeting.
Qualifications and Requirements :
- Bachelor Degree or above, Finance or accounting degree strongly desired; MBA or CPA or equivalent is preferred;
- Excellent oral and written communication in English with global financial senior leaders and local leadership team;
- Extensive knowledge in financial systems, policies, business processes and organizational structure;
- Proven ability to work with individual partners to understand their portfolios engagement economics,ensure engagements are appropriate valued at set up and through life of engagement;
- Proven ability providing key business functions and the financial impacts of them;
- Demonstrated knowledge acting as a key player on the national finance team and working closely with firm leadership to develop and support new procedures and structure.
- Demonstrated knowledge developing and owning the budget and forecasting processes and monitoring budget to actual progress throughout the year;
- Demonstrated knowledge identify financial opportunities to gain or sustain a competitive advantage;
- Demonstrated knowledge identify tax risks affecting the business or the organization;
- Proven ability to manage and have primary responsibility for regional financial metrics;
