Associate Director - US GAAP - CA - IT

Responsibilities:

- To lead US GAAP accounting

Experience in ASC 606 Revenue implementation

- Understand all the aspects of segment activity to determine Indian GAAP to US GAAP difference.

- Independently researching on various technical accounting topics and writing white papers as necessary

- Coordinating with (Parent company ) on all US GAAP adjustments

- Working with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audit

- Assist in any US GAAP forecasting, modeling, and analysis

- To be able to close monthly financial statements within the timelines prescribed including comparison of Indian GAAP to US GAAP to identify difference and prepare the US GAAP adjustments.

- To be able to discuss with the leadership on various aspects of US GAAP adjustments.

- To be able to understand any system enhancements required to better the existing processes.

- To support and ensure the Sarbanes-Oxley requirements (US GAAS) & be compliant

- Assist with or be responsible for other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned

Skill Sets

- Strong working & subject knowledge on US GAAP accounting topics (e.g. investments, hedging, pension and stock compensation)

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and team player

- Proactive and confident in identifying problems and solutions

- High level of energy and a desire to thrive in a growing, complex, fast-paced organization.

- Fundamental knowledge of Accounting, Budgeting, Variance Analysis etc.

- Strong Working knowledge of Excel, Power point presentation etc.,

- Should be a self-driver person with an Analytical mindset

- Handling Audit & Reporting requirements

Education Qualification and Experience

1. CA with 12 +yrs of post qualification experience in areas of accounting and finance.

2. CPA qualification would be an added advantage

3. Experience in handling a reporting team and open to work as a sole contributor

4. Researching, analyzing, documenting and applying technical accounting matters

5. Strong 360 degree leadership Skills and strong inter personal skills.

Catchment:

1. Working in any major IT services/software companies handling similar roles/ lesser to the same, looking for larger opportunities.

2. IT Services/Software company audit experience in any of the Big 4 (E&Y, Deloitte Haskins & Sells, KPMG & PwC) is preferred

3. In all the above, excellent understanding of the US GAAP is must.
