Associate Director - Technology - Leading Engineering University
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintenance and operation of all the University Digital Infrastructure (Hardware and Software)
- Supervise entire university system infrastructure like ERP, LMS, Wifi, website, server etc. to ensure functionality and efficiency
- Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance both annually & in a longer run
- Monitor & head purchases of hardware, software licensing etc.
- Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture
- Create and support cross-functional teams for needs assessment, decision-making, technology support, professional development and other aspects of the university
- Plan, organize and control educational technologies and information systems and their use throughout the University
- Develop and enforce appropriate IT policies and guidelines
- Collaborate across departments and functional areas that support adoption and implementation of technology in all aspects of university business
Strategy and Planning:
- Device new strategy and plan to update / make the University a digital campus
- Determine information-system problems, both current and future, and design general solutions.
- Maintain current knowledge of technology landscape and developments
- Set clear objectives and measures; and monitor process, progress and results and track, analyse, monitor technology performance metrics
- Directly lead the data processing within the university
Leadership and Team management:
- Lead the IT support function for all departments in the campus in troubleshooting system, network and applications related issues
- Build a strong technology team and be responsible for recruitment, retention, supervision, development, compensation and evaluation of all personnel involved
- Ensure appropriate trainings for users within the university on the information technology systems & software's used
- Promote and lead the implementation of industry best practice methodologies, tools and programs in support of technology
KPIs :
Specific measures of performance relating to growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, efficiencies, etc. will be some of the KPIs for the successful candidates.

- Responsiveness to market changes in technology
