Associate Director (Supply planning) About your role: This position is responsible for leading end to end supply planning activities including but no limited to fulfillment centers, seller partner centers, sortation centers and Last mile hubs executed by supply partners. This position reports to Director of Planning of Company. JOB DESCRIPTION: 1. Develops and leads the strategic direction for all supply planning activities by: (a) Developing appropriate planning methods / algorithms and continually improve upon them with contextual developments (b) Continuously raise planning activities bar by having deep understanding of supply chain operations spread across assets and disseminating it in wider teams. (c) Developing futuristic planning capabilities with partnering product organisations (d) Developing and executing standardised and comprehensive engagement models with partnering functions (d) Developing state of the art performance measurement systems (e) Evolving from prediction capabilities to optimisations on cost /customer service and operational Execution (f) Sharing best practices with rest of the org (thoughtful evangelisation) (g) Developing, overseeing, and implementing a training program planning group and working on capability enhancement programs 2. Builds capabilities for multidimensional planning capability expansion (time horizon and planning depth) to solve multiple business problems. 3. Helps partner function to scale up new capabilities and programs and effectively participates in growth and profitability drives 4. Facilitate key decision making by engaging multi platform leadership to drive end to end plans and execution by partnership 5. Coaches /mentors teams and peers and sets right templates for smoother and deeper planning.Engages and facilitates career growth of subordinates, develops and evolves right organisation structure aligned with Flipkart values and tenets. 6. Attracts and develops new talent, devices strategy for role growth and in turn builds and evolves a smoothly functioning and effective organisation. Qualifications and Experience MBA graduate with industry expertise in supply consulting, FMCG, E-commerce sectors. Should have overall experience of 7 - 12 years
