Associate Director - Structural Engineering - Construction Operations

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage structural engineering projects from concept design through construction, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.

- Develop and implement innovative and cost-effective structural solutions for a variety of building projects.

- Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of structural engineers and drafters.

- Collaborate effectively with architects, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated project design.

- Review and approve structural design calculations and drawings.

- Prepare and deliver clear and concise presentations of structural designs to clients and project teams.

- Perform structural analysis using advanced engineering software, such as RAM, CSC, ETABS, SAFE, and STAAD.

- Manage project budgets and timelines effectively.

- Identify and mitigate potential structural engineering risks.

- Stay up-to-date on the latest building codes, standards, and industry trends.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of the company's structural engineering standards and procedures.

- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the structural engineering team.

Key Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field (preferred).

- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of practice (required).

- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in structural engineering design and project management.

- Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex structural engineering projects.

- Strong understanding of structural analysis and design principles.

- Proficiency in various structural engineering software packages (RAM, CSC, ETABS, SAFE, STAAD).

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to manage and motivate a team of engineers and drafters.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate tasks effectively.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project).

- Fluency in English with a strong understanding of technical terminology.

- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
