We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated legal professional with a background in the food and beverage industry to oversee all legal matters within the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a comprehensive understanding of legal frameworks, and the ability to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This role is essential for safeguarding the company's interests and enabling seamless business operations

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities (KRA):

Legal Vetting:


- Review, draft, and negotiate various legal agreements, including those with landlords, vendors, consultants, and service providers to ensure that the company's interests are protected.

Regulatory Compliance:


- Coordinate with various statutory agencies to obtain the necessary licenses and registrations required under applicable laws. Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant laws and regulations at all times.

Licensing Management:


- Oversee the licensing process for sites and establishments, ensuring all necessary licenses are obtained and maintained.

Legal Compliance Oversight:


- Monitor compliance with applicable laws and rules, excluding taxation laws, economic laws, and corporate laws, ensuring that all legal aspects of the business are adhered to.

Litigation Management:


- Collaborate with external solicitors to represent the company before judicial authorities in litigation matters. Ensure effective legal representation and strategy in all litigation cases.

Policy Development:


- Develop and implement internal legal policies and procedures to streamline compliance and risk management efforts within the organization.

Legal Advisory:


- Provide legal guidance and support to senior management and various departments on legal issues and risks related to business operations.

Training and Awareness:


- Conduct training sessions to educate employees about legal compliance, risk management, and relevant laws affecting their roles.

Dispute Resolution:


- Mediate and resolve any legal disputes that may arise, working towards amicable solutions while minimizing litigation risks.

Stakeholder Engagement:


- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure legal considerations are incorporated into strategic business decisions.

Document Management:


- Maintain and organize legal documents, ensuring all records are up to date and accessible for reference.

Startup Culture Adaptability:


- Demonstrate flexibility and a deep understanding of the startup culture, being prepared to handle various responsibilities beyond the defined KRA.


- This includes adapting to changing needs and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
