Job Overview :

This role is part of GC Shared services, working closely with the Global Risk team globally.

The purpose of the role is to support end-to-end risk reporting activity in the Group Risk team covering reports to the committees, regulated Boards and provide input to regulatory reports. This individual will take the lead on drafting Board and Committee reports, monitor and coordinate resolution of actions assigned by the Boards, and input to regulatory reports being produced by other members of the team. The role holder will be responsible for coordinating content input from other risk and business stakeholders.

As this model matures, the role holder will progress to make the Board reporting capability global - not only covering all locations but also other teams like compliance and legal.

Key Responsibilities :

- Take the lead on working with key contributors of the Risk report to the Board/ committees/ regulatory reports.


- Contributors could be across global functions like Global Risk teams, Procurement, Cyber Risk and others

- To ensure the timely production and distribution of the risk reports to management, UK legal entity Boards, committees and regulators to a high-quality standard

- Ensure there are processes in place to validate the quality and consistency of the data reported

- Challenge the existing process of collation of information and bring out efficiencies in the process

- Develop best practices by bringing in external perspective on Board Reporting

- Mature the capability to extend this service globally - across locations and teams

- Design and develop new reports as required

- Prepare and review supporting presentation, documentation and material for meetings

- Establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with all key internal stakeholders

- Develop and maintain a strong external professional network to keep abreast of external developments (this includes attending Industry Forums and other events)

Experience and Qualifications Required :

- 11 - 15 years' experience in working in the financial industry with an understanding or background in Risk function

- Excellent command on spoken and written English

- High degree of proficiency in report writing and MS Power Point including ability to develop clear, concise & compelling story lines for senior management

- Ability to run processes, identify process gaps and ability to make the change happen

- Collaborative problem-solver able to work through ambiguous, shifting and sometimes competing priorities

- Fine balance in working with multiple stakeholders and ability to work independently

- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability and attention to detail

- Ability to make decisions that are reasonable and logical

- Effective influencer, able to build productive relationships, while comfortable challenging and negotiating different viewpoints

- Acknowledged role-model with track record of delivering excellent service
