On behalf of our client, we are looking for an analytically strong Associate Director to join their Middle Office group. The Middle Office group is responsible for transaction management, security and reference data management and asset servicing across the entire lifecycle of various financial instrument for different types of financial services firms.

The group deals with a variety of strategies and different kinds of financial instruments, spanning different geographies and time zones. The candidate will be responsible for driving all activities in the Middle Office space including but not limited to below, in addition to client onboarding, client management and taking on stand-alone projects.

What you'll do:

- Accountable for work product of the team - daily transaction and security master management across different asset classes, reference data management and asset servicing for multiple clients.

- Play key role from Middle Office perspective in onboarding clients on our platform -Scoping, integrating with client's OMS and establishing workflows.

- Oversee day-to-day operations and resources, escalation management, business-as-usual troubleshooting and setting direction and goals for individuals

- Working with the Senior Management team in NY and locally to define and execute on strategic initiatives, new automations, project prioritizations, managing client relationships & client budgets

- Working with technology teams as needed, by assisting in special projects, developing bespoke reports, developing specifications, product implementation and UAT

- Providing assistance to auditors and fund administrators during the audit process

- Drive discussions with investment managers, client-ops team, data vendors to resolve day-to-day exceptions, as well as develop more strategic initiatives

- Liaise with other internal functions like pricing and trade accounting to resolve discrepancies and/correspond to internal queries

- Assist the team and play a review role for security mapping of complex asset classes

What you'll need:

- The ideal candidate must have an MBA (Finance) / CFA / CA or any another equivalent qualification with 12-18 years of work experience in the areas of transaction and security master management with a detailed understanding of the various stages of the trade life-cycle.

- An understanding of data sources such as Refinitiv, Bloomberg, IDC, MarkIt, etc. and experience in integration with different trade execution systems

- She/ He should have in-depth domain / finance knowledge spanning across multiple asset classes, attention to detail, the ability to work with minimal supervision and experience in managing high performers

- A mindset to enhance the efficiency of processes through automation and workflow streamlining, strong project management skills, ability to work under pressure, effective managerial ability, and strong communication and collaboration skills are a prerequisite.
