Associate Director MEP Domestic Projects - HVAC/Plumbing
Required Skills:
As an experienced Associate Director, it is expected that you can demonstrate:
- Proficiency as a technical and commercial leader in the Mechanical and Public Health discipline; with a track record of exceptional delivery over a sustained period within the industry for the local market in India (typically 15+ years).
- Extensive delivery experience in MEP consultancy, ideally with a focus on Indian projects.
- Proven ability in mentoring and leading others, fostering the development of individual skills while encouraging collaboration and cohesive teamwork.
- Comfortable in an externally facing, business development role.
Desirable skills:
- Ideally, the candidate will have experience working on a variety of challenging domestic and overseas projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, IES, CSC Fastrack, TEDDS, ROBOT, ETABS, and SAFE is preferred, although not essential.
- Accreditation from a chartered institute is desirable.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (B.Eng.) or Master's degree (M.Engg.) / MSc in Mechanical Engineering from premier institutes in India.
Responsibilities and Accountability:
Naturally, the responsibilities of an Associate Director will be highly varied, but can typically be expected to comprise:
- Leading MEP discipline projects on behalf of the group (operating as Job or Project Leader as appropriate), taking ownership for sustained and productive client relationships.
- Overseeing multiple projects across the group, taking responsibility for the engineering solutions.
- Reviewing job financial performance with the support of the Group Director and managing resources accordingly.
- Preparing Technical Specifications and checking work/specifications of subordinates.
- Conducting project technical/quality reviews and attending design reviews for projects. Undertaking site visits as needed for the smooth operation of the project(s).
- Contributing to group initiatives with respect to technical development/market sectors and processes.
- Leading and guiding the team on specific projects within the Group, mainly junior Engineers and Technicians.
- Supporting the delivery of the team's Performance and Development Review process.
- Assisting the group in seeking new work from existing clients.
- Preparing Technical proposals, bid proposals, and additional fee proposals with support from the Group Director.
- Reporting on technical, commercial, financial, and people performance of the team as determined by the Group Director.
- Being accountable for effective resource planning for their projects and financial performance if advised by the Group Director.
