The Associate Director will be a senior position and primary responsibilities will be towards credit assessment as well as sourcing & execution of deals for the AIF funds. This would include:
- Lead the credit research function, with primary responsibility for deliverables by the research team
- Rigorously tracking and analysing financial and operational performance of investee companies on an on-going basis. Preparing and maintaining credit notes, sector notes / presentations etc.
- Identifying potential clients especially in corporate finance segment and developing underwriting credit risk guidelines / conducting due diligences
- Preparing post due diligence notes; credit analysis of potential clients
- Negotiating and executing plain vanilla and structured finance transactions; coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders involved in deals
- Interfacing with internal capital market sales teams and external agencies (arrangers/investors) to source and negotiate portfolio investments
Minimum Qualifications:
- MBA or Post Graduate in Management from a premier institute/Chartered Accountant/CFA
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 6 to 8 years relevant experience in banking/financial services industry, preferably in wholesale banking / financial services.
Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of corporate/credit analysis
- Understanding portfolio management and trade workflow
- High proficiency in MS Office tools (especially MS Excel)
- Knowledge of legal framework, RBI/NHB/SEBI regulations, Companies Act, and other applicable laws/regulations required for transactions
- Exhibit leadership qualities and mentor/guide reporting team to achieve high quality deliverables
- Strong negotiation skills and problem solving attitude
- Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, self-motivated and process oriented individual.
