Associate Director - Data Quality

About the role

We have an excellent opportunity for a Data science professional to join company Financial Management Group at a Director level. The successful candidate would have experience in successfully leading teams responsible for data flows and warehousing solutions, enhance enterprise wide data quality and find solutions for new data requirements driven by external and internal changes.

About Finance Operations Division

The finance operations are Core to the Financial Management Group and is responsible to deliver an end to end accounting and finance services globally to the Company. In particular the functions within Fin. Ops have,

- Ownership of Finance Processes (are Global Process Owners)

- Finance Service delivery

- Own Continuous improvement / Operational Excellence

- Accountable to deliver Innovation / Automation

- Lead Transformation - finance data and technology

- Accounting Services - including Record to report; Product accounting production / analysis

- Compliance Services - including Reporting & Monitoring (e.g. Tax, Regulators)

- Reporting Services - including statutory, management, analyse and forecasting

- Risk management and Assurance over Fin Ops

- Ownership of process controls and reporting operational effectiveness to advisory / BU CFO

Key responsibilities:

This role is ultimately accountable to the Global Head of GFS and is expected to provide direct review / oversight / sign off for Data function within Finance Operations Division. Broadly this role will have the following responsibilities:

- Manage the Run The Bank (Reporting) and Change The Bank (projects) delivery for FMG Data team at GFS

- Identify, engage and deliver on opportunities which help FMG with better data quality and related system / warehouse usage

- Engage with FMG and GFS wide stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide solutions in partnership with technology and functions

- Deliver on data requirement for external and internal change projects through the lifecycle

- Identify best fit automation solutions e.g. storage, programming, data visualization, reporting for the processes using best practices from the market

About you

You are an experienced Fin-Tech professional with extensive exposure to Finance data flow, data quality and related technology change management and its implementation.

You have the ability to act as a role model to influence the behaviour of the wider high performing teams. Provide direction to people, projects and/or processes and create opportunities for others to develop and extend their skills and experience.

With a flair of excellent interpersonal skills and a strong client orientation when planning and organising work.

To be successful in the role:

- University Degree or Master Degree in any discipline with technology / data science qualifications

- Experience with finance data upkeep and change delivery

- Experience with regulatory projects and data provisions for existing and new requirements

- Experience of working in an International environment will be an added advantage.
