Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director to play a key role in our Corporate Finance & Advisory Services (CFAS) team in Kolkata.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with a strong foundation in M&A Tax and Lead Advisory to take on a leadership position, manage complex projects, and contribute to the growth of our practice.

Position: Associate Director

Location: Kolkata, India

Experience:

- 7+ years of relevant experience in Corporate Finance & Advisory Services, with a strong focus on M&A Tax and Lead Advisory.

Role & Responsibilities:

- The Associate Director will be responsible for the following key areas:

Transaction Management & Execution:

- Lead and manage various aspects of M&A transactions, including due diligence, financial analysis, and transaction structuring.

- Oversee the execution of corporate restructurings, ensuring compliance and efficient implementation.

- Manage the process of obtaining regulatory approvals from SEBI, Stock Exchange, and NCLT.

Technical Expertise & Advisory:

- Apply in-depth knowledge of M&A tax principles, providing practical and effective solutions to clients.

- Advise clients on inbound and outbound investment structuring, considering tax implications.

- Provide guidance on IBC matters, including resolution plans and stakeholder management.

- Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, 2013, and FEMA regulations, identifying opportunities for tax optimization.

Client Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a key point of contact.

- Understand client needs and develop tailored solutions to address their specific requirements.

- Prepare and deliver client presentations, effectively communicating complex information.

Business Development Support:

- Support business development initiatives by preparing proposals and presentations.

- Identify potential opportunities for expanding services with existing clients.

- Contribute to the development of thought leadership and marketing materials.

Team Supervision & Mentorship:

- Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support on projects.

- Review the work of junior team members, ensuring accuracy and quality.

- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Project Management & Delivery:

- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

- Monitor project budgets and timelines.

- Ensure adherence to the firm's methodologies and quality standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.

- Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience in Corporate Finance & Advisory Services, with a strong focus on M&A Tax and Lead Advisory.

Technical Proficiency:

- Strong understanding of M&A tax principles and their application in transactions.

- Solid knowledge of corporate restructuring processes and regulatory requirements.

- Experience in managing regulatory approvals (SEBI, Stock Exchange, NCLT).

- Familiarity with IBC advisory and resolution planning.

- Good understanding of the Companies Act, 2013, and FEMA regulations.

Project Management Skills:

- Proven ability to manage projects effectively, ensuring timely and quality delivery.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop creative solutions.

Client Focus:
