Associate Director - Business Finance - eCommerce Startup

Role Summary:

The Business Finance Lead will be responsible for ensuring that the Business team is able to optimize its margins while effectively mitigating risks and remaining commercially competitive and will bridge the gap between the business finance teams. The role encompasses understanding the as-is processes, identifying the gaps, and further refining developing processes.

Responsibilities:-

- Developing clear understanding of key business drivers for each line of business, analyzing key financial metrics and providing decision making support to Business & Finance teams.

- Supporting Finance & Business Management in the simulation of revenue projections and corresponding expenses including working out margin protection/improvement plans.

- Reviewing and streamlining all Business verticals from the Business Finance perspective which includes designing of the fund flow processes, business-level margin analysis and budget modelling.

- Providing a framework for financial & compliance controls across business units.

- Leading technology automation projects to automate the Business Finance reconciliation process.

- Partnering with Finance & Business teams and identifying and tracking appropriate performance measures, key performance indicators and associated drivers.

- Preparing operational P&L, MIS and analyzing the same for Business reviews/ presentations.

- Handling complex ad-hoc requests including transaction support requests with a short turnaround time and supplementing such requests with appropriate analysis and comments.

- Tracking of sales performance against set targets and providing periodic updates to business.

Requirements:

- 10-12 years of experience with prior experience in Business Finance roles in e-commerce setup an added advantage.

- CA or Bachelors's degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Business Administration or equivalent. A Master's degree is preferred.
