Associate Dean - External Relations - University

Job Purpose:

Associate Dean External Relations is the linkage between the School and its stakeholders. Job is to link recruiters, International Partner Institutes, Local Communities, Environmental groups, Rural Community, Media and dis-advantage group. The job involves opt - in and opt - out programs linking the School with the immediate and extended stakeholders.

Key Accountability:

Strategic:

- Presenting programs and students to the relevant target audience for linking the School with the Industry.

- Drawing Strategic Plans for intensive internships, placements, sponsored research, MDPs, and Executive Education programs.

- Organizing Strategic events like CMO, CHRO, CFO, and CXO level round tables to bring practice to the classroom along with CIAP.

- Strategizing internationalization of programs including Immersion programs, semester exchanges, articulation programs, and dual degree programs including credit transfers along with the International Affairs Office.

- Strategizing and building Networks for (1) SME Network (2) Developmental Agency Network (3) Relationships with relevant Trade bodies like CII, ASSOCHAM, NHRD, AIMA, NASSCOM, etc.

Academic & Operational:

- Working with the CIAP team in building the Corporate Readiness Programs and supervising the delivery of the program.

- Measuring the effectiveness of the Corporate Readiness Program and reporting to the Dean of the School.

- Building a network of small-medium enterprises (100 / 250 / 450) in the next three years with companies (minimum turnover Rs 100 CR) for internships, live projects, experiential learning, and final placements.

- Building a network of Non-Governmental Organizations (75 / 150 / 300) in the next three years for internships, live projects, and experiential learning.

- Building relationships with local government (PMC / Pune Smart City) for collaborative work.

- Building relationships with Research Labs and Institutions of National Importance for IPR co-creation.

- Undertaking Activities for NAIP, International Immersion Program, and Rural Immersion Program.

- Providing Support for Outreach program of CIAP and Marketing Team for Admission in various programs including Executive Education.

Requirements:

Personal attributes and style:

- Associate Dean of External Affairs should have strong Leadership quality and display strong commitment.

- Associate Dean of External Affairs should have strong willingness to connect with the external world and address issues with stakeholders.

- He / she should have the ability to project the interest of the School, bargain, negotiate and close deals with multiple stakeholders.

- Associate Dean of External Affairs should have excellent verbal and written communication skills

- The person should have high EQ and negotiation skills.

- Should be able to work with diverse external groups in conflicting situations to drive benefits in favor of the School.

- The person should have the ability to act quickly and effectively to crises

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

- Ph.D. from high ranked institutions/high QS ranked global University preferably in the area of Social Sciences.

- Should be at least at Associate Professor or at the level of Vice President in Corporate with 10 to 15 years of Leadership experience.

- Should have handled outreach programs, placement drives and external relationship building and liaison responsibilities.
