Job Purpose:
An Associate Dean of Academics is a high-level administrative position at the School. The Associate Dean of Academics is responsible for overseeing the academic programs and initiatives. This includes setting curriculum standards, developing and implementing academic policies, and working with faculty and other staff to ensure the quality of the institution's educational offerings.
Key Accountability:
Strategic:
- Developing and implementing academic policies, procedures and standard as per National Education Policy (NEP) under the leadership of Dean -Academic
- Developing a road map in consultation with Dean - Academic for phased implementation across the School
- Setting curriculum standards, credit load, performance criteria, and graduate attributes for the programs at School
- Working with the Dean School and PVC to allocate appropriate academic resources across the programs.
- Assisting with the development of new academic programs and initiatives.
Academic & Operational:
- Facilitating collaboration and partnerships with other academic institutions and organizations.
- Advocating for academic programs and initiatives within the School and to external stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Supporting the Dean School in presenting Academic matters, programs, examinations and qualifying criteria to the Academic Council
- Facilitating the resolution of academic disputes or grievances at School level in consultation with Dean Academic Affairs.
- Participating in academic planning and decision-making processes at School level
- Allocation of Faculty Resources across the Programs including Visiting / Adjunct / Emeritus / International Faculty.
- Management of timetable and sessional planning for the Term / Calendar Year / Academic Year.
- Responsible for collecting, analyzing and presenting Insights from Student Feedback.
- Responsible for periodic communication to parents and students on their attendance and performance
- Presenting the Student Performance and result to the appropriate authority for students graduation along with COE.
- Supporting the Dean of School in ranking and Accreditation exercise.
- Working with CIAP Team for looping in Industry Feedback and ensuring the curriculum enhancement
- Working with the Alumni Network, building chapter and developing programs specific network and alumni mentor programs for the School in collaboration with the University Alumni Affairs.
- Smooth conduct of all employment readiness programs in coordination with CIAP
Requirements:
Desired Qualification and Experience:
- Preferably a Ph.D. from Top 50 NIRF University / Top QS University
- Candidate must be at the Associate Professor / Professor.
- Should possess high level of Analytical Skill and ability to present data and insights in both Tabular and Visual forms.
- Should possess adequate knowledge of compliance norms under various regulatory bodies and accrediting agencies.
- Substantial leadership and management experience
- Personal attributes and style
- Should possess exceptional communication skills (verbal and non-verbal)
- Strong evidence of displaying EQ in managing diverse workforce.
- Should have Research Acumen / Credential.
- Must have understanding of Blooms Taxonomy and Assurance of Learning Framework.
