- Associate Corporate Finance (Oil & Gas Background) Role Overview: The role will include a wide variety of responsibilities, which include setting and actioning the growth agenda for the firm, as well as sourcing and delivering hands-on deal leadership of transactions.
- You will be working in the corporate finance department, reporting to the head of investments, the role will be focused on providing first class financial analysis for strategic and investment decision making.
- You will need to be a capable financial modeller, from either an Investment Banking, In House or Consultancy, capable or creation of financial models to support investment decisions. Interest or exposure to the Oil & gas sector would be highly desirable.
Deliverables:
- Contribute technical expertise in lead advisory and use this expertise to provide a value service to internal Clients; - Heavy involvement in deal execution team;
- Produce financial analysis and reporting to ensure the business is informed and up to date with current trends. Produce the information for, and manage, the trading update;
- Manage weekly reporting and data management; project work and analysis; challenging the way we do things and focusing on process improvement;
- Working on Due diligence and valuation reports, information memorandums, and financial models;
- Maintaining robust financial models and databases to enable sound business reporting, planning, and decision making; - Participate in the formulation of strategic and long-term business planning;
- Closely coordinating across diverse departments and international entities;
- Preparing reports and presentations for Executive Committee and stakeholders;
- Absorbing new technical information quickly, and developing a deep understanding of the strategic rationale for transactions and business decisions.
- Cash flow projecting & Valuations;
Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Corporate finance experience covering some or all of M&A buyside and sellside experience, from deal origination, through valuation, deal execution and assistance in negotiating commercial terms o Valuation methodologies, such as Discounted Cash Flows, Comparable Companies, Comparable Transactions, Sum of the Parts o Financial products, such as leverage finance, debt capital markets. o Corporate strategy
- Have a strong academic background;
- Prior experience at Associate level within an Oil & Gas/Energy sector team in Investment Banking/Corporate Finance (M&A, Private Funds Advisory or Debt/Equity Advisory;
- A graduate degree in a relevant subject for example Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Business Management;
- An excellent communicator with fluency in written and spoken English.
- You have experience of prioritising and managing simultaneous projects;
- Youre a self-starter that is keen to get involved in teamwork, has strong interpersonal skills, hard-working and flexible;
- Qualified or Part Qualified Professional Accounting or Finance qualification desirable;
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
