Associate - Core Operations - Investment Bank

Role :

- The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely settlement with all top tier clients & internal clients in a controlled and risk free manner.

What the Business Does :

- The Role is in Credit and Rates Operations and will report to Global Head of Rates Settlements in Chennai

Your responsibilities :

As Interest Rate Derivative Settlements Supervisor your key responsibilities will be :

- People management including 1-2-1- s, personal development, setting objectives, holding mid-year and year-end performance reviews

- Ensure that the team provide high quality service to their portfolio of external and internal clients

- Build and maintain strong working team relationships both internally and externally. In particular the Relationship Mgmt team, Sales, Trading, Finance, Change and Middle Office teams.

- Provide necessary support and direction to the team in dealing with high risk items and issues. 

- Act as escalation point, providing clarity and information to global management team on MI and risk reporting

- Drive root cause analysis of breaks, exceptions and other workload to prevent reoccurrence of breaks and reduce overall workload

- Work with the global IRD settlement team to implement the team strategy, process efficiencies, improved controls, better client service and the official change agenda

- Experience of implementing large change agenda, involving process reengineering, productivity saves, and cost per trade reduction.

- Strong analytical and Microsoft skills

- End to end derivative trade process experience

- Broad Operations exposure to different products and processes.
