Role: Associate Consultant/Consultant - Restructuring/Working Capital (Data Analytics)

Location: Mumbai/Gurgaon (Hybrid Work Mode)

Organisation: Big4

You'll be a part of the DAS (Deal Advisory Services) Data Analytics Team, which is a cross-functional team working in various engagements within the public and private sectors.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Work with large volumes of transactional data to analyze underlying performance trends and identify insights

- Combine data from multiple sources (SQL databases, MS Access, Excel files, flat files, etc.) into integrated views that can be used to drive analysis and decision-making

- Build dashboards and applications in Power Bi/Tableau/Qlik Sense

- Partner with internal business customers to develop analyses that lead to actionable insights

- Review financial statements/management accounts to analyze business performance

- Benchmark financial KPIs against peer groups and quantify the improvement opportunity

- Ensure consistency of client models with project documentation and data books

- Prepare client presentations and reports

- Support with Independent business reviews on things like cash flow forecasting, scenario modelling, creating data books in excel, etc.

- Going through detailed internal and external company reports and writing commentary on the business overview and its outline

- Adhoc research involving working on CapIQ, Debtwire, Fame, Amadeus, etc.

- Web scraping using technologies like python/power automate

The Relevant Candidate's Profile:

- Experience in Data analytics, Financial Analysis, Business Modelling or Financial Modelling

- A good understanding and working knowledge of accounting, financial statements, and financial analysis, financial ratios

- Understanding of working capital process

- Experience in Working Capital Optimization analysis(Account Payables & Receivables and Inventory Optimization)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Data wrangling and data processing skills

- Advanced knowledge of Alteryx, Tableau, Power Bi, Excel and T-SQL (Not mandatory to have advanced experience in all)

- Knowledge of R/Python would be a plus but not mandatory

- Knowledge of research databases like CapIQ, Debtwire would be a plus but not mandatory

- A commercial outlook and a good understanding of the general business and economic environment; and

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to articulate key points clearly and succinctly in your analysis and reasoning

- Ability to build effective networks internally and externally

- A natural curiosity about business and a passion for business improvement

- Strong attention to detail
