Major Duties Reporting and Functional knowledge - Business Analyst experience, preferably Murex. - Experience in requirement gathering and elicitation - Meet with stake holders to understand the requirement which might include interviews, questionnaires, user observation, brainstorming etc - Learn the several systems and data sources for a range of risk-related areas including Securities Lending loan and collateral activities, limits, monitoring and regulatory capital calculation, GFX systems and processes, and Trading Risk limits - Effective planning, monitoring and evaluation of development priorities - Documenting, analysing, tracing, prioritizing and agreeing on requirements and then controlling change and communicating to relevant stakeholders. - Drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests, and manage a project's scope, acceptance, installation and deployment. - The candidate must have an ability to rapidly grasp complex quantitative concepts, business processes, and reporting requirements and must be able to communicate effectively through both written and verbal communication with management and other partners. - Support the Capital markets risk team in delivering a wide range of risk reports and analysis from available data sources and work closely with risk and business management to identify areas of concern. This may include the production of Management Information Reporting and Risk Dashboards for these businesses - Attend and contribute to appropriate team and respective working and oversight meetings in order to gain insight into the usage of reporting produced and to assist in explanation for trends and issues identified through the analysis, monitoring and reporting process - Support strategic initiatives such as legal entity reporting, report rationalization and updates of existing procedures etc. - Should be familiar with risk management methodologies (e.g. stress testing, scenario analysis, VaR) - Partner should be able to provide insightful analysis, recommendations, conclusion and inferences for various reports. Also, partner should have the ability to understand the intricacies of the reports and should be able to identify and resolve the anomalies and potential causes. - Responsible for proactively suggesting, developing and implementing process enhancements. - Engagement with on-shore management and off-shore management to provide feedback, raise issues in a timely manner and strategize/implement key people and process decisions. - The role will required continual coordination and communication with partners in EMEA and the US and will necessitate flexible hours to accommodate these business time zones. - Respond to frequent ad-hoc requests for analysis, data gathering and reporting. Technology, Data and Tools: - Partner should be able to work with risk systems and technology to design strategies, automated solutions and ensure complete, correct and timely reporting. - Maintain report templates, queries and other aspects of the reporting infrastructure, both online and offline - Develop expertise in usage of various internal system and databases. - Identify and resolve data quality issues. - Knowledge of IBM Algorithmics and Murex is preferable. - Manage additional responsibilities to improve risk infrastructure, analysis, and reporting. - Enhance and implement data quality control processes and reports. Qualification: - Degree in Finance/Engineering/Maths/MBA. CFA and/or FRM a plus. Broad knowledge of various asset classes and an understanding of VaR and other market risk metrics. - Technical skills: Murex, Excel, VBA etc. Skills Required - Ability to design, optimize, prioritize, and execute complex and dynamic processes. Demonstrated ability for problem solving. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to interact with senior management and summarize and present data from insightful and actionable perspectives. - Additional knowledge/skills include analytical skills, problem solving skills, analytical curiosity, data crunching capability etc. - Quick learner. - Exceptionally strong attention to detail. - Ability to interact and work effectively with diverse teams. Ability to lead projects with multiple counterparts across organizations. - Autonomous and highly motivated with the ability to multi-task productively and to work independently as well as collaboratively.
