They are one of the fastest growing education startups in India and have delivered more than 1.7 million individualised remedial worksheets and served over 800 schools. In 2018, the company has raised $13.5 million in its latest round of funding to be used for further investment in product innovation and geographical expansion.
As the Associate Channel Manager, you will be responsible for growing the business by acquiring and developing channel partners in the region.
You will be working with the sales team members of the region to grow the channel network and activate the channel partners for bringing revenue growth.
What you will do:
Business Development:
- Channel partner acquisition and activation: Building a pipeline of potential channel partners, signing them up, training and activating them. Working with the local sales team to quickly identify and recruit the channel partners
- School acquisition: Supporting the sales team by giving leads obtained from channel partners and ensuring school sign up. Monitoring and controlling productivity of channel partners and the sales team with the help of Regional Business Manager or Zonal Business Manager
- Developing Channel strategy: Ensuring a good mix of channel partner demographics. Acquiring a couple of established and renowned channel partners
- Collection: Collection of money due from channel partners on time
Channel partner relationship:
- Relationship: Managing and nurturing relationships with the channel partners who have been activated, through various means of engagement
Reporting and Documentation:
Documentation: Completing all documentation regarding channel partner sign up, collecting advance amount as per policy and engaging them as per the need
- Reporting: Keeping all reporting formats, CRM, documentation etc. updated on day-to-day basis
What you need to know/have:
- 2-5 years of experience in B2B Sales through Channel/distributor management especially setting up from scratch
- A high energy job which requires an individual to spend 70-80% of the time in the field
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Should be able to work with other team member
- Collection of receivables
- Should be able to collect the receivables from the customers based on agreed terms
- Problem Solving Skills
- Should be able to identify roadblocks and find ways to navigate them
- Aggressive pursuit of goals- A go-getter who gets things done. Should be able to stretch and persevere and akes rejection as a part of the job
- Quick learning- Picks up concepts, nuances, etc. quickly and adapts style to match the market need
- Work ethic- A self-starter and comprehensive approach of doing things.
- Strong communication skills and personality
- Speaking local language is required
- Working with books distributors is a great plus
