Associate/AVP - Legal - BFSI

Our client; who is a leading investment banking company in Mumbai is looking for a Associate (AVP) within their legal team.

The ideal candidate would have experience in:

- ISDA documentation

- CBBCs

- Legal warrants

- ISDA Master Agreement and other relevant documentation for derivative products

- Experience in handling structured products and commercial contracts

- The resource will report to Sr. AVP or VP.

- The position also interacts with offshore and onshore personnel daily.

Job Requirements

- Law Degree or Commonwealth qualified solicitor or barrister with more than 5 years in financial products or commercial contracts drafting and negotiations.

(Previous capital markets or general corporate experience gained in a law firm or in-house will be an advantage.)

- Strong problem solving and/or analytical skills.

- Strategic thinking and tactical execution.

- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.

- Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

- Strong legal principals.

- Ability to forge strong relationship with internal departments.

- Ability to read complex legal documents with confidence, ease and understanding.

- Excellent legal drafting ability and eye for detail.

- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent organizational skills.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and an excellent team player.
