Associate/AVP - FSC Deal Management at an investment bank
Role Description :
- Trade Finance FSC Deal Management is looking for bright candidates with a Finance/ Portfolio Management/ Computer Science background to support end to end deal management activities, risk evaluation, analysis, due diligence, portfolio review, KYC compliance, projects, and reporting activities
- The role would suit for an individual looking to develop product knowledge, business understanding, risk factors & related portfolio risk in a challenging, fast-paced environment, where the team and individual can make significant contribution for the global Corporate Bank - Trade Finance and Lending Business.
Your Key Responsibilities :
- Perform deal portfolio due diligence including legal entity checks, internal system checks, previous relationship review
- Analyze and score incoming transactions in view of all risk dimensions of the bank, which requires a general curiosity, attention to the detail and understanding of complex transactions in a short time span
- Communicate of screening and scoring results with various stakeholders and clarify on open questions
- Work for improvement and enhancement of the existing scoring methodologies and scoring process as well as review of model appropriateness
- Post analysis request external rating from vendor partner, analyze internal credit rating methodologies
- Collect, prepare, and share relevant details with credit risk managers in coordination with sales and structuring
- Review and support client and non-client KYC requirement for the deal(dbCAR/dbCLM) as per KYC policy and procedures and bank's AFC commitment to regulators as well as agreed with Group AFC handling of non-clients
- Ensure de-risking is in place with related documents, support document sign off wherever needed
- Prepare templates with all details, pricing, limits, approvals and ask Ops to setup and fund the deal along with sales/structuring
- Coordinate the entire deal implementation internally by interacting with Sales, CRM, CLM, Operations, AFC, Legal and De-risking (RPM) team
- To lead certain ad-hoc projects and audit Focus on bringing new ideas, support and work on process optimization, realignment, automation, and simplification to increase efficiency
- Work on regular control process in cooperation with technology, business, Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) and to cover audit/regulatory requirements
- Maintain global internal reporting trackers to ensure proper monitoring of completion and reporting to management, support the implementation of monitoring tools for senior management/audit
- Maintain internal process documents and Key Operation Procedures for mandated products Work closely with internal partners including but not limited to Trade Sales, Trade Finance Deal Management, Trade Product managers and Trade Services team to promote the Bank's trade finance services and resolve road blocks that hinder closure of deals with thorough understanding of trade policies (both global and Asia info letters) and compliance guidelines
- Your Skills & Experience :
Technical Skills :
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Engineering and Economics/Applied Economics, 4-5 years of work experience in relevant field of Finance and/or Engineering, Product Management, Risk Management and Analytics
- A good understanding of all Trade Finance products especially Financials Supply Chain Solutions
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the risks, control, compliance and regulatory environment and requirements in Banking with focus on Trade Finance
- Ability to challenge the status quo and can think 'outside the box' Knowledge of advanced MS Excel, MS Access, SQL, VBA Macro and basic understanding of database with demonstrated ability to employ tools for analytical work
