GIS and Modeling Analytics Associate

We are looking for analytics professionals that have a bachelor's or master's degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Urban Planning, or a related field :

- A strong grasp of geospatial concepts and techniques, with the ability to apply them in a business environment

- Proficiency with GIS software (ESRI preferred) and Microsoft Office

- Programming experience (SAS, R, Python, or SQL preferred) with the ability to extract and process large data sets

- Exceptional unstructured problem solving skills

- Outstanding communications skills

- Professional maturity and demonstrated leadership ability

- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment

- Passion for analytics

The individual hired for this position will create and maintain data and implement models, with an emphasis on spatial data and models predicting geographic results. Typical duties for this position include :

- Aggregating data from a variety of sources, including data warehouses and spatial datasets

- Identifying data anomalies

- Implementing models in SAS, R, Java, or other programming languages

- Performing analysis to answer immediate business questions

Sample projects include :

- Forecasting the performance of new branches

- Optimizing the placement of bankers or relationship managers

- Assessing the effect of closing or relocating branches on existing and new customers

- Gathering data for models to predict call volume
