Job Description
The role holders will have the following broad responsibilities:-
- Analyse corporate counterparties in the Financial institutes Segment of US and recommend an appropriate lending position.
- Independently validate Enterprise Valuation submissions from the frontline business teams.
- Work independently on credit proposals to reach a solution in close and constructive collaboration with colleagues within WMR CoE, Wholesale Credit Risk and Business Teams
- Participate in credit / risk meetings with Front Office / US WMR colleagues.
- Closely monitor risk events and be able to timely escalate to management.
- Prepare for audit, regulatory initiatives and internal projects pertaining to credit risk management
- Represent WMR CoE in Shared Services and New Business initiatives where required
- Flexibility to travel, if required
Skills/Experience Required
- Academics - Graduate degree in commerce/ economics/ management/ engineering. Qualifications in Finance/ CA/ ICWA/ CS/ CA IIB preferred.
- 9+ years of relevant experience in Large Corporate Credit / Bank / Insurance / NBFI assessments in a reputed Bank/ Financial Institution.
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, credit lending products and dynamics around the working of financial institutions / banks / insurance companies etc.
- Strong analytical skills to quickly interpret data & facts to arrive at meaningful conclusions
- Excellent interpersonal, English communication and negotiation skills
- Customer centric mind-set
- Resilience to work under pressure to meet aggressive deadlines.
