PRODUCT MANAGEMENT - RUBY ON RAILS

Roles and Responsibilities/ Mission Statement :

- PlanetSpark seeks an established engineering and technology leader to join its team as AVP of Engineering.

- With responsibility over development, and quality, the VP will lead the evolution and scale of PlanetSpark's platform. The AVP will have the broad mandate of overseeing Engineering, Architecture, and QA organizations while being a contributing member of the leadership team. This is a key role, reporting directly to the Co-Founder.

Outcomes Expected :

- Collaborate with stakeholders across disciplines like product, design, and customer success.

- Defined best practices around code, design, architecture, testability, CI/CD and observability and ensure 100% alignment to them.

- Own the KPI dashboard for the entire product suite - define measures, set goals, report on progress and drive KPI improvements.

- Constantly engage with key customers to solicit direct feedback on products and features.

- Work with the executive leadership and product management teams to understand the short-term and long-term product roadmap and align that with the technical/non-functional roadmap that he will develop.

- Ensure Strategic level communication over all technical visions and strategies, provide direction to build success into the systems, delivering efficiencies and streamlined architecture in order to support the services and growth of the product.

- On a tactical level, streamline and drive efficiency and execution in the engineering organization, ensuring visibility and predictability around engineering processes, systems, etc.

- Proven experience developing and delivering highly complex, scalable, data intensive platforms and/or services for large modern Enterprise customers. Deep expertise in Platform, Big Data / Machine Learning infrastructure as well as operations experience with architectural vision

- Provide value-added expertise in engineering design. Take final decisions on conflicts around technical solutions.

- Build up a platform to provide support to 10k teachers and other departments to design implement and test new solutions in the CRM system. Assisting with designing and implementing new business processes in order to take advantage of CRM capabilities.

- Architect systems for scale and stability

Ideal Candidate Profile :

- In depth Knowledge of the new stack technology

- Have a hands on understanding of building a Communication product with an in house CRM base.

- Proven track record of growing up the ranks in a fast-growing technology company.

- Experience working with a multi-functional team (Product Management, Design, Test, Operations, and Developers).

Experience range : 7 - 10 years.
