Business/Department/Objectives:

- Provide analytic support to the business teams, understand the business context, formulate and execute appropriate analytical approach to address the business situation. Develop/ own comprehensive end to end solutions to address business problems. Drive innovative analytical approaches across the broader team and conceptualize and execute solutions to ambiguous problems. Independently manage end to end partner communication.

- AVP will be leading advanced analytics initiatives in APAC Modeling team

Core Responsibilities:

- Ability to lead a modeling /Next Gen team. Proficient in model development, deep understanding of relevant legal and policy guidelines, ability to connect business and policy requirements

- Deep understanding of machine learning and predictive analytics and ability to identify the best analytics solutions to business problems

- Ability to explain complex statistical techniques and their applicability to business solutions

- Ability to streamline and standardize modeling processes and visualize the end state and clearly articulate the benefits to senior management

- Analytic Project Execution: Build effective teams to deliver on business priorities. Decompose business priorities into candidate projects. Consult with partners to initiate project aligned to business needs. Manage the project pipeline to ensure prioritization and resourcing. Influence analytic approaches through learning's and insights

- Establish a structured interaction model with the partners

- Mentor junior team members to develop their advanced analytics skillsets

- Communication: Effectively communicate strategic considerations with team, partners and senior management

- Organizational Development: Dismantle organizational silos. Drive organizational development initiatives

- Participate in Periodic Meetings with Manager and Business Partners to share overall status of work, progress, issues

- Seek synergies in activities across teams and implement value-added enhancements to the way work is executed

- Make an objective assessment of the performance of the team and identify opportunity areas to enhance performance

Education:

- Highly numerate, as demonstrated by Masters in a numerate subject such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics from Premier Institute or a track record of performance that demonstrates this ability

Experience:

- 7-10 Years exposure to Financial Services

- Candidate should have worked in any of the following domain:(Credit Cards, Retail bank, Mortgage, Lending / liability product)

Skills:

Analytical Skills:

- Proficient in Formulating Machine Learning, R, Hadoop, Analytical methodology, identifying trends and patterns with data

- Business Impact Analysis

- Hypothesis testing, Knowledge of Segmentation

- Deep Knowledge of predictive modeling

- Simple Optimization

- Tools and Platforms:

- Proficient in MS Excel, Powerpoint

- Proficient in SAS, SQL, SAS JMP

Domain Skills:

- In depth understanding of Customer lifecycle Management within the financial services domain ( Cards, Retail bank, Mortgage, Lending / liability product): Acquisitions

- Customer engagement( Pricing, P&L forecasting)

- Customer servicing & understanding customer touch points

- Customer retention
