Position Summary:

The AVP of Sales is a senior leadership role responsible for managing and

overseeing the sales function within an organization. With 12 years of experience in sales, the AVP Sales is expected to provide strategic direction, drive revenue growth, and ensure the achievement of sales targets and objectives. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional sales acumen, and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Planning-

- Develop and implement sales strategies, plans, and objectives to drive revenue growth and achieve organizational goals.

- Conduct market research, analyze trends, and identify new business opportunities.

- Collaborate with the executive team to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.

Team Management-

- Lead and manage a high-performing sales team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation.

- Set sales targets, quotas, and KPIs for the team and provide guidance and support to ensure their achievement.

- Foster a culture of teamwork, motivation, and continuous improvement within the sales department.

Business Development-

- Identify and cultivate relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to expand the customer base and maximize sales opportunities.

- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales efforts with marketing campaigns and product launches.

- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and generate leads.

Sales Operations and Analytics :

- Develop and implement sales processes, procedures, and systems to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

- Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and prepare regular sales reports for management.

- Utilize data and analytics to identify trends, assess sales performance, and make data-driven decisions.

Customer Relationship Management :

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

- Resolve customer issues, concerns, and escalations in a timely and professional manner.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer needs and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing high performing sales teams.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

- Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.

- Proficient in using sales management software, CRM systems, and other sales tools.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze sales data and draw meaningful insights.

- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.

- Industry knowledge and experience in a relevant field is highly desirable.
