Assistant Vice President - Legal - Billing & Collections

- Support to Collections
- To Improve Legal Process in order to recover the dues from the borrowers.
- To develop Legal Strategy for all products.
- Reduction of the cases by resolving them through different legal tools.
- Timely facilitating with the required details for filing and pursuing of cases to the law firms.
- To conduct periodic visit/ review of law firms/ advocate/ lawyers.
- Cost effectiveness legal tools.
- Empanelment & Management of Lawyers/ Law Firm/ advocates.
- Maintaining legal MIS.
Strive for Operational Excellence:- Effectively tracking and closing of all litigations.
- MIS of all Litigation cases
- Vetting of process/ policies for products
- Providing feedback and support to Collections for effective recovery.
- Coordinating with various law firms / and concern team of respective locations for initiation of prompt legal action.
- Standard Operating Processes for activities of legal departments
- Internal Audit & Statutory Audit
Strengthen capabilities - Leadership & People:
- Cordial relationship with the lawyers, Law Firm and Collection Managers
- Actively build relationships and constantly seek to improve both own and colleagues' performance
Establish the Brand:- RBI complaints, Standard letters, notices, reply letters
- Continue strong focus on appropriateness and suitability process to minimize reputational risk.
- Handling & resolving all Customer Grievance/ Service Issues like PDC Replenishment/ Swapping of Instruments, Settlement/ Foreclosure, Settlement, Issuance of Loan Reschedulement, etc.
Engage Regulators & Communities:- Advising team on proper Compliance with laws & regulations
- Compliance Management - To adhere to the COC as specified.
- Ensure through ongoing reviews and by facilitating self-audits.
- Strength relationship with the local regulators.
- Raise the bar on control and compliance.
- KYC/ AML compliance as per company policies.
Education Qualification(s):- LLB, LLM
- Graduates from reputed colleges
- Any Post Graduation like MBA will be an added advantage
Relevant Experience:- Strong Legal and drafting skills.
- Business acumen and hiring skills
- Strong ability to multi-task and work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability for Relationship Management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- 15+ years of experience in Banks / NBFC with exposure to HL, LAP and SME sector.
- Must have exposure to All India lending or working knowledge of property transactions in diverse geographies.
Must have significant experience/ exposure to:
- "Sarfaesi" legal tool - hands on experience required
- Exclusive experience required in - "legal billings & collections"
