Assistant Vice President - Investments - Asset Reconstruction Firm

Job Responsibilities :

A. Investments

- Creation of investment memo identifying key investment thesis and risks ;

- Evaluate and access the viability of investment materials received in potential deals;

- Perform financial modelling to underwrite potential scenarios ;

- Coordinate diligence process and report key findings to Deal Lead;

- Work on all aspects of a transaction from origination, due diligence and managing the portfolio .

B. Asset Management

- Execution of resolution strategies which could involve a restructuring or enforcement scenario

- End to end AM process including CS completion, testing of security and collateral valuation including default triggers and covenant breaches;

- Ensuring all internal & regulatory compliances in relation to management of stressed assets are adhered to.

Specific skills required :

- The ideal candidate has strong analytical abilities and is intellectually curious

- Experience with financial modelling including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements as well as quantitative market research required

- Exceptional interpersonal skills, business judgement and work ethic.

- Strong written and spoken communication skill in English

- Prior work experience with a buyside firm or investment team at an ARC not required but is a plus.
