JOB DESCRIPTION : ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT
Reporting To : Head of Financial Planning
Department : Finance
Role Objective :
The candidate should be able to provide valuable inputs in making crucial financial decisions and should be able to multi-task, in terms of ad hoc responsibilities, in a start-up environment.
Job Responsibilities :
You will be part of a team of 3 people based in Mumbai and you will be primary business partner of our commercial and business units
Management Reporting :
- Responsible for organizing and leading Top Line reporting activity, including: Month-end revenue reports.
- Monthly Business Review.
- Quarterly & Annual Business Review.
- Ensure effective understanding, analysis, and reporting of key business metrics.
- Support the Commercial team in preparing presentations and review documents for leadership team meetings.
- Actively support the development of a new Sales Report, partnering with Business team.
- Responsible for cash flow projections and funds management.
Budgeting/Forecasting :
- Responsible for P&L forecasting. Model, analyze, summarize and gather information on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Work with finance and commercial teams to identify risks and opportunities and to define counter actions.
- Responsible for Budget planning. Driving coordination and consolidation of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Rolling Forecasts.
- Preparation of long-range plans
- Cash flow forecasting
Business Support :
- Support management for business expansion ideas.
- Lead pipeline reviews. Ensure compliance requirements.
- Partner with commercial leaders in reviewing contracts and in developing sales targets.
- Collecting, analyzing and modelling information for management decision making.
- Provide recommendations to drive profitability improvement and support cost reduction actions as needed.
- Drive process improvement projects and perform other duties as assigned. Ad Hoc projects, reviews.
- Banking relations
Measure of Success (KRA's) :
- Budgeting, analytical, modelling and forecasting experience including attention to details and ability to work effectively under time pressure
- Results driven carrier oriented individual
- Ability to deal with ambiguity / vagueness in role initially, as it is a start-up environment
- Passion for number crunching / provide valuable inputs for formulating financial policies and decisions
Minimum Education : Chartered Accountant / MBA Finance from a premier B-school
Minimum/Relevant Experience : A proven track record of 8-10 years
Past Industry Experience :
- Experience in small to mid-sized Healthcare/Pharma/Medical Devices/FMCG/Retail/Telecom sector with exposure to various financial and/or commercial disciplines
Skills :
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point and Data base management programs.
Language Skills :
- Fluency in English with excellent written and oral communication skills along with excellent.
