Assistant Vice President - Engineering - Insurance

Our client is one of Asia's largest insurance provider brands based in India. Its portfolio of products includes variety of insurance types for individual and their families. they are also well known for their user- friendly and hassle free insurance and strives to consistently tackle concerns faced by people when it comes to insurance of various types.

Reporting to the CTO of the organisation, the candidate would be responsible for :

- Head overall Digital IT vertical, handle entire IT Backend, be an enabler & individual contributor. In charge of the entire digital IT vertical, individually contribute to define business strategy, online services across web, mobile & social platforms and oversight of website applications and infrastructure.

- Head and guide teams of developers (java, android, UI/UX, angular etc) already at place.

- Set overall digital business strategy, mobile and social platforms and oversight of website applications and infrastructure.

- Preparing and distributing architectural vision, goals, standards, structure, behavior patterns, models, to all affected stakeholders. Maintain and nurture relationships with business partners up to COO level.

- Work with vendors and other developers to deliver an Enterprise class solution for Entrust Energy.

The successful candidate must have:

- Preferably from E-Commerce background.

- Overall 8-10 years of total experience and 2-3 years of experience as head engineering or similar designations.

- Degree in Computer Science from top institutes.

- A Techno- Functional experience preferred (1 - 3 years of programming experience).

- 5+ years of experience in the design, development and implementation of applications.

- 2+ years of experience in web development with Django, Python, JS, HTML, CSS.

- Database implementation and optimisation with MySQL, Mongo, Elastic search and Redshift.

- Web application infrastructure with RabbitMQ, Celery and server configuration on AWS

- Software architecture and reporting with big data analytics on social networks

- Development experience with iOS in Objective C, C#, C++, Java, VB

- Minimum of 5 years experience with Google Apps (Forms, Sites, Drive, etc.)

- Minimum of 3 years experience with Google Apps Script and AWS.

- Experienced individual with Cloud applications such as NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce

- Experience developing applications on cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Google Engines.
