Job Description for CMB :

CMB - (Commercial Banking)

Experience : 9-13

- Experience in Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, Project management, projects done individually

- Risk management, Compliance

- The job holder should handle and deliver on the plans for executing the project with proper quality standards in place, ensure compliance with audit requirements by performing audit checks as required in line with business process requirements and consistent with Group and Company policies and standards.

The job holder is expected to :

- Work collaboratively with key stake holders & functions on multiple projects and key initiatives to drive improvements in the global markets where CMB has a presence.

- Ensure that project/program milestones, progress updates are tracked, monitored and reported periodically

- Clearly articulate the root cause analysis for the various issues identified backed by data

- Drive the remediation work jointly with the on-shore teams and provide concrete inputs to reduce or eliminate repeat occurrence of issues.

- Prepare detailed presentations for Senior Management and participate actively in the various forums held on Data Quality and Issue Management, Data Governance, Customer Data Management

- Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in the business (Onshore and Offshore) Responsible for implementing QA/QC framework for identified processes and ensures adherence and continuous improvement

- Collaborate with other teams to learn and share best practices and ensure best-in-class and business solutions are provided.

- Ensure adherence with all the applicable compliance policies (Data security policy, AML, operational risk, Functional manual, Group Compliance Manual, Audit recommendations, Internal Control requirements, regulatory guidelines etc.) and business standards of Organization as applicable.

- Take timely action on Audit comments and be able to demonstrate compliance with internal controls.

- Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with section B.1.2 of the Group Operations FIM.

Skills/Experience Required :

- 9 years plus of data management/information management experience or equivalent

- 4 year Bachelor's or Master's degree from reputed university in Technical /Maths/ Stat or other numerical discipline. Concentration on Computers, Science or other fields such as engineering, MBAs are preferred.

- Rich experience and good knowledge of working in the Banking and Financial Sector.

- Proven project /program management skills & certifications like PMP, Green/Black Belt are preferred.

- Ability to perform a detailed and articulate root cause analysis of issues and problem solving skills are essential.

- Previous working experience on data organization would be essential

- Knowledge of Customer Due Diligence and customer on-boarding processes are essential

- Excellent business communication (written and verbal) together with presentation skills

- Candidate should have the ability to build connections, promote ideas and work collaboratively with key stakeholders

- Leadership capability to adapt to multi data environment with quick learning ability to learn infrastructures

- Thought leadership to drive logical thinking, eye for details for the team

- Good understanding of data management tools such as SQL, SAS, Cognos, Business Object & QlikView are also desired.

- Rich experience in concepts of database design and development, Proficiency with analyzing data from disparate systems for alignment, Expert level understating of data centric topics
