Assistant Vice President - Commercial

Role & Responsibilities:

- Lead HPM commercial team - set processes, technology and audits

- Responsible for monthly MIS delivery - Ensure KRAs are measured correctly and available to the entire team on a timely basis. Conduct audits on data sanity and processes

- Build best practices and knowledge repository - Be the central point of knowledge for less frequent but complex processes

Business Partnering, Driving Growth:

- Serve as a business partner to the President -HPM and CFO. He/She will drive the scaling up and transformation of the HPM Commercial function.

- Drive the overall business agenda and be a true partner in driving organizational growth.

- Act as custodian of major stakeholders and ensure alignment on all strategic goals and be responsible for all portfolio management activities.

Accounting & Financial control:

- The focus will be on operational growth and profitability as well as ensuring timely and accurate accounting, financial reporting, forecasts and targets whilst supporting the operations with analysis, advice and the tools to optimize performance.

- Establish robust systems and processes to ensure efficient running of the Commercial function and provide input to support the scaling of the Hospitality & Property Management function, in line with overall organizational growth.

- Direct the preparation of all financial reports and scorecards. Responsible for all the financial and management reporting functions; ensure timely and quality excellence in reporting, forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning, adherence to accounting policies, reporting, cash management, taxation, and financial systems.

- Demonstrate a true curiosity about the numbers and proactively identify and analyze indicators of current and future performance.

- Strong emphasis on effectiveness and quality of the financial organization, reliability of financial statements, internal controls, and information systems.

- Provide direction and ultimate oversight of the annual audit process.

- Provide guidance and direction on financial policies and procedures and identifying gaps in practices. Recommend changes to processes in an appropriate and timely manner.

- Prepare the Commercial team for changes arising out of any changes in Law or Accounting Practices.

- Proactively benchmark against global good practices on reporting and help the company continuously improve.

- Work in close coordination with Head HPM Services, Property GMs, Procurement, CFO and Accounts/MIS to ensure complete alignment towards business objectives.

- Drive innovation; keeping oneself updated with new/ evolving financial/business models and provide business insights into areas related to Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax optimization.

- Develop predictive analytics to help the CEO and business leaders manage the business more effectively in a dynamic environment.

Commercial Operations

- Manage a team of Commercial Leads and Managers responsible for the following:

- Collaborate with Central Purchase, Vendors and project teams for requirements and issue resolution

- Ensure that customer problems and complaints are handled urgently and accordingly to policies

- Manage vendor performance and ensure that SLAs are adhered to Commercial

- Coordinate with Design and MEP teams to prepare Common Area Maintenance (CAM) budgets for luxury/hi-end projects

- MIS & Reports - PR/PO tracker, Vendor Ageing, Payment Ageing, Master billing tracker, Monthly AMC reports ,Payment and billing trackers, Monthly SAP budget v actual allocation and usage reports

- Manage the CAM accounts for projects and coordinate with central Accounting Team for reconciliation/ handover
