Job Description :
The AVP of Coding will be responsible for ensuring that the Site's operations of CLIENT Coding meet or exceed client requirements and are operationally efficient. It is critical that we quickly ramp to scale and establish industry wide best practices across the coding services. The AVP of Coding will be responsible for designing, setting up and managing a process excellence/quality framework for CLIENT that ensures that our coders deliver high quality of work. The AVP of Coding may have several Managers of Coding Quality reporting to him/her, each managing the process excellence/quality function delivery for one client (to whom we may provide multiple services), and/or one particular service (which we may provide to multiple clients).
The Role will entail :
- This role will lead the site for coding Line of Business. Collaborate with sales in building the business and to design new offerings.Manage the delivery of services and P&L.
- Key Measurements for the role will be Revenue, Gross Margin, and Customer Satisfaction
- Develop operations strategy
- Contribute to the development of short and long terms strategies operational goals.
- Adhere to the norms specified as per the Quality standard.
- Should be able to guide operations on functional aspects of coding and endeavor to improve coding standards in the team.
- Ensure financial success
- Financial responsibility for each customer account assigned to the LOB
- Manage the P&L.
- Should be able to use his/her functional coding capability to pitch in with clients with new solutions.
- Ensure best in class Operations: Create and manage operational frameworks to deliver high quality work in field of medical coding.
- Manage high Customer Satisfaction Level
- Ensure the clients/customers satisfaction through onboarding of new clients and programs
- Co-ordinate with clients on a regular basis and build rapport with client with an objective to maintain fruitful relationship and reach operational goals
- Identify potential problems and resolve before they become big
- To create appropriate servicing and retention strategies for customers
- Formal internal governance of programs
- To ensure client satisfaction by the delivery of quality services and quality products
- To liaison with other areas of the company affecting successful operations
- Manage People and Ensure People Sat
- Provide functional support and direction to the team.
- Build confidence and trust among the employees for smooth operations and achieving targets
- Boost the morale of the employees and develop a work environment based on equity and meritocracy,
- Reduce stress among the employees and Create CLIENT a fun work place without compromising on operational efficiency.
- Maintain fairness in the performance management system and create an environment of guidance, mentoring and development of teams.
- Review whether the training needs of all operation employees identified and training is imparted to develop the level of employees as expected
- Work with delivery and training functions to create feedback loops from quality assessment to training and operations management
- Create six sigma quality frameworks to drive process excellence for CLIENT Coding in a clinical context using DMAIC, lean six sigma, or other process suitable quality methodologies.
- Work with delivery leaders to launch and lead six sigma quality projects across CLIENT Coding
Desired Experience & Qualifications :
- Certified coder. Strong expertise on ICD-9, ICD -10, and HCC coding
- 12+ years of work experience, including experience in coding, coding audits, workflow assessments etc
- Ability to Lead, guide and mentor large delivery team.
- Familiarity with clinical documentation coding
- Team player who can work with multi-geography cross-functional teams
- Be able to manage large teams across continents.
- Demonstrated ability to lead & motivate a team to achieve business unit goals
- Extremely high energy team player with a burning desire to succeed in fast paced environment and rapidly evolving market
- High degree of integrity, work ethic and analytical abilities
- Track record of delivering high quality services.
- Significant travel between within India as well as to US.
