- Working in close partnership with the business, provide support to drive business decisions.
- Interpret and explain performance within the business on a weekly, monthly and ad-hoc basis.
- Work alongside the onshore team in respect of key planning assumptions and prepare financial forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Automating existing models so they run faster and more reliably
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and insights on specific issues
What will you be doing?
- Monitor actual performance against target and provide understanding for variances.
- Maintain/enhance the Forecast model in order to produce the Forecast numbers and use for data requests
- To respond to routine and ad-hoc information/commercial requests.
- Report financial performance on a weekly, monthly and ad-hoc basis, developing robust, automated procedures for delivery.
- Carry out data mining and modelling
- Automate manual BAU processes to improve productivity where possible
- Build strong relationships with all key stakeholders
- Collaboration across Internal Reporting teams - share best practice, influence business decisions and participate in cross finance initiatives
- Take ownership of processes, participate actively in one to ones, responding to feedback and identifying learning opportunities in the workplace.
- Understand the complex business requirements needed to overcome financial and regulatory challenges and bring problem solving skills to document requirements and produce high quality outputs encompassing models, reports and proposals
- Continuously monitor financial performance and provide useful insights to stakeholders for driving improvement in business performance.
- Conduct Ad hoc analysis to inform business critical decisions.
- Own the BAU processes which are critical to stakeholders who use our data for reporting and modelling purposes. Oversee the input assumptions into the models and create process, controls around the assumptions.
- Document all work to a high standard with re-use in mind.
- Support the team as a Subject Matter Expert for business and act as a single point of contact for offshore teams, providing guidance and assistance to colleagues in respect of data and reporting needs
