Responsibilities:
- Business Development Planning: Develop a comprehensive business plan strategy to acquire brands in a time-bound manner.
- Establish and deliver on a strategy to land new customers with a mutual vision for expansion and expand existing accounts with purpose, driving customer success and predictable year-over-year ARR growth through the large client #39;s conversions.
- Demand Side Business Development: Identify target clients (enterprises and their RFPs), make a value proposition & convert them into their customers.
- Solution Review: Review costing developed by the solutions team for these target clients, either based on itemized or fixed fee basis model or percentage (of revenue) basis. This will require you to understand the client's existing supply chain, the growth opportunities and challenges in the existing supply chain.
- Deal Closure: You are expected to engage with the client in multiple rounds of negotiation and drive the deal to closure. Maintaining a high conversion ratio of deals closed / Clients in the pipeline will be an important metric in your performance.
- Account Management: Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company's customer base
- Sales Forecasting: Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
- Internal Stakeholder Management: Plan and manage the client's revenue realization by liaising with operations stakeholders.
Industry Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in 3PL business development or procurement in sectors such as Pharma, Cold Chain, Automotive, Marketplaces & Platforms.
- Solution designing expertise and prowess with excel sheet based solution designing
- If you have already experienced startups, it will be an added advantage to your candidature.
- Ex-founders of the supply chain companies would make a great fit for this role!
- Demonstrated progressive second-line leadership experience leading teams in strategic sales.
