Role: Asset Control team is responsible for end to end accounting, analysis, reporting of assets. It also ensures design and operating effectiveness of the control environment. The team ensures accounting is performed in compliance with IAS 16, IAS 38 and relevant FIM guidelines.
- It also reviews and operationalizes changes to policy as required. Currently, Fusion platform is being rolled out for Assets process across various entities and the team is responsible to ensure seamless migration of the process under the COE ensuring standardization across all countries. It further ensures migrated countries operate in line with standards as BAU.
Responsibilities:
- Be the SME on Asset accounting related requirement,
- Ensure all the responsible accounts along with reconciliations are substantiated and signoff by owners at Country CS/Global/Regional teams and other local impacted teams.
- Respond to the assigned site queries in a timely manner from entity finance, WPB and CS business teams and also senior group level management as appropriate.
- Leadership skills - ability to manage multi-dimensional team with different skillsets and levels. Knowledge of Fusion modules will be preferable.
- Adherence to Group policies, audit, controls, and compliance requirements including but not limited to Declaration of secrecy, data protection act, health, safety & security, clear desk policy
- Should have demonstrated the ability of driving results.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- B. Com /M Com/ CA (Inter)/ CWA (Inter): 10 -12 years or CA/CWA/MBA: 8-10 years.
- Strong accounting knowledge with prior experience of handling finance control teams. Logical, Conceptual & analytical thinking.
- Experience and exposure in solving complex problems and demonstrated ability to provide accounting and managerial solutions.
- Lead role in identifying the risks associated with finance control process and implementation of corrective controls
- Proven ability to question, evaluate, and improve existing business processes and adequacy of information.
- Experience working with local, regional and Global stakeholders and an understanding of global standards of quality.
- Understanding of General ledger applications like HUB, Fusion, PSGL, FTP, Oracle Financials, will be an added advantage
